This try was the highlight of the game. It was Otago's first try of the second half....and a great one. Tighthead prop Kees Meeuws, showing amazing acceleration and speed, takes off on a 40 metre run, beating three tacklers in the process. Second-five Pita Alatini recieved the pass on the outside and immediately looked back inside where he found the in-form halfback, Byron Kelleher. Facing the fullback, Kelleher shows the ball, goes one way, and steps back inside, beating both the fullback and out-running the remaining defender on his tail.....
