Bjork
spreads magic
Bjork's
music videos were in the spotlight this
weekend in the US newspaper New
York Times. The
paper's critic Ben Ratliff simply
did not have enough
good things to say about them. He
labelled Bjork's
videos as among the best ever
made, surreal yet
unsentimental, simple like a
child's dream.
Ratliff praised Bjork's
collaboration with the French
film-maker Michel Gondry and used
the video for the
song 'Bachelorette' from her last
album Homogenic as
a case in point of how a music
video can be truly
artistic without overshadowing the
singer. Another
video singled out is the one for
'Human Behaviour,'
as being like a fairy tale, full
of great ideas and
stories, unlike most MTV-videos.
